Box.com - How to check folder size / Space used.

For many, having a cloud service is nowadays something like having a place to safely share files with others; for others it is a daily drawer where without much hassle they pick, use, put, edit their whole work or personal digital assets. No matter which one, both need to manage their space wisely if you don't want to end up running out of it, either to avoid clutter or to avoid the need of paying for extra space.

Box.com has been my personal choice since years ago, it's intuitive system plus all the perks added to file version management, desktop sync and so on... really made it special. Ironically their learning curve was so easy that sometimes you get spoiled, leaving some specific bits in places where maybe you wouldn't expect them to be placed at.

Q. Where can I see my general storage status?
A. Your space quota for most accounts (free or not) can be found in your Account Settings section.

Press the top right circle that shows your initials (for me SS) and click on the desired section.
Scroll down after that and find the Accound Details module.

Q. Where can I check a folder size?
A. Box.com uses quite an approach, where its not apparently the used space what matters but more about how many files are within a folder, for some makes sense, for others it doesn't. But there's always a way to get things running.

Click on the folder row (to safely do this, try to click on the blank space between the folder name and its Updated date).
Whenever you click it an "info panel" pops to your right, giving you some sharing tools.
Have a closer look tho that pane, there's a Details tab to the right of the Sharing title.
Click the Details tab, finally you can see the folder size based on MB/GB.

Et voila.
Not the handiest version, they should put an extra column (its not that they don't have the space for or that most OS's already created mental maps within users for this kind of info... #sarcasm ), but in the meantime...
